About Us
SHISG20 ’26 is the first Model G20 Nations Conference hosted by Scottish High International School.
Inspired by the Group of Twenty, SHISG20 is a diplomatic simulation where students represent major economies and tackle real global challenges, from economic governance and climate finance to sustainable development and geopolitical stability.
More than a debate, the conference emphasizes research-driven discussion, strategic negotiation, and consensus-building within realistic procedures.
SHISG20 is about policy.
It is about leadership.
It is about thinking beyond the obvious.
As its inaugural edition, SHISG20 ’26 lays the foundation for a platform dedicated to analytical depth, global awareness, and responsible diplomacy.

Welcome to SHISG20!

WHY MODEL G20?
Model G20 Summit: A Diplomacy Simulation Focused on Consensus, the New World Order, and the Global South
Unlike traditional MUNs that rely on majority votes, our G20-inspired simulation emphasizes consensus-building—mirroring how real G20 negotiations work. Delegates must reach full agreement, encouraging deeper diplomacy and compromise. This simulation focuses on the emerging multipolar world and the rising influence of the Global South.
Participants will:
-
Master Consensus Dynamics: Understand diverse national interests and negotiate joint action plans acceptable to all members.
-
Explore the New Global Order: Debate the impact of shifting power balances and inclusive global governance.
-
Elevate Global South Perspectives: Tackle issues like debt, climate finance, and technology transfer through the lens of developing nations.
-
Foster Economic Cooperation: Address global financial stability, sustainable development, and coordinated policy-making.
By mirroring the G20's collaborative model, this simulation offers a unique experience in global governance, diplomacy, and the critical role of emerging economies.
